Food and Water

We strive to ensure all hackers are well-fed and energized throughout their journey! Every meal served at ChessHacks will include dietary-restriction-friendly options. For hydration, we’ll be providing beverages, and we recommend that you use the water fountains stationed around E7 as well. If you have any allergies please inform an organizer/volunteer when you redeem your food. A list of foods and their common dietary restrictions can be found on the Food page. Make sure to bring a reusable water bottle! Note that we will not be providing single-use plastic water bottles due to venue restrictions.

Waiver

All participants signed a waiver when they RSVP’ed to attend ChessHacks.

Emergencies

In case of an emergency, call 911 first. Then, when it is safe to do so, contact the nearest ChessHacks team member or volunteer. If no team members are in sight, UWaterloo Campus Police can be reached at 519-888-4911. Violence will not be tolerated, as well verbal or physical harassment. If any of these happen to occur, be sure to notify a team member. In the event of a fire alarm, please evacuate through the nearest available exit.
